Hot Yoga

Most of our classes are conducted in a room heated between 90°- 100° degrees Fahrenheit. The infrared heat amplifies certain elements of a yoga practice like detoxification, increased circulation, increased flexibility, weight loss and pain relief.

 

Benefits of Infrared Heating

If you’ve ever stood outside on a cold day but felt warm because you were in the sunlight, you’ve experienced infrared heat. These rays from the sun heat the people and objects they come into direct contact with instead of the air. Infrared radiant panels operate the same way. Radiant heating:

  • warms the muscles allowing for greater flexibility and range of motion
  • opens up the capillaries which oxygenates the organs and lowers blood pressure
  • causes water molecules in the body to vibrate which wrings out the organs
  • directly penetrates tissue, muscles and joints allowing them to heal and regenerate

Recognizing that some people don’t like it as hot as others, Namaskar Yoga Studio offers reduced heated classes as well as non-heated classes.
